Sara Oakley, age 88, passed away on January 30, 2023.
Sara was born in Midlothian, TX
Sara is survived by her husband, Gilbert Oakley; daughters Karen Hobson (John), and Sandy Wang (Pete); stepdaughter Jill Stinnett (Russell); and stepson Todd Oakley. Also surviving Sara are grandchildren: Lyndsay Hobson, Tracy Gonzales (Travis), Jordan Hobson (Undrea), Garrett Barker ( Jamie), Shawna Oakley and Trevor Oakley. Great grandchildren are: Wyatt Gonzales, Madelyn Barker, Sam Barker and Keith Barker.
She was preceded in death by Louis Johnston (Father), Harriett Hanes Johnston (Mother), and sisters Marie Allen and Georgia Johnston.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4 from Noon to 2 PM at Oates Dr. Baptist Church in Mesquite, TX.
Services for Mrs. Sara Oakley will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 2 PM at Oates Dr. Baptist Church in Mesquite with Rev. Jim Burt officiating. Burial will follow at Midlothian Cemetery in Midlothian, TX.
Sara's favorite charity was Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child.
