Robert (Bob) Lawrence Pattison

November 13, 1939 — May 26, 2023

Robert (Bob) Lawrence Pattison was born in Santa Monica, CA to Robert Scott Pattison and Violet Edna Pattison on November 13, 1939.

Bob's early years were lived in Santa Monica where he enjoyed family trips to the beach. At seven years of age, the family moved to Lancaster, where Bob's father, Bob Pattison, worked for his father, Bob Pattison, buying, refurbishing, and reselling dilapidated farms.

At the age of ten, Bob and family moved to Fallon, Nevada to grow alfalfa and raise cattle. Bob helped his father in farming and carpentry: building cabinets and houses.

Bob, a 1957 graduate of Churchill County High School in Fallon, Nevada, enjoyed playing football on his high school team. Bob attended Western Baptist Bible College (now Corban University), in El Cerrito, CA, where he met his wife of 57 years, Connie Colburn. They married in 1961 and moved to South Lake Tahoe where Bob worked for his father at the family boat rental business.

Bob and Connie and their first-born son, Robby, moved to Seattle, Washington, where Bob worked in a bookstore. While in Washington, Bob and Connie had three more children: Rachel, Kelli, and Richard.

In 1970, Bob and his family moved to Redding, California, to accept a teaching position at Oaklawn Christian School. Bob taught both at Oaklawn, and later North Valley Christian School.

In 1977, the family moved to Woodland, California, where Bob taught 6th grade, then 4th grade at Woodland Christian School for twenty-seven years.

Upon retiring, Bob and Connie moved to Pollock Pines, where they built their retirement home. Bob later worked as a substitute teacher for El Dorado County for fifteen years. Upon his wife Connie's passing, Bob moved to Mesquite TX, and enjoyed living at the Christian Care Center there.

Bob loved his family, camping, southern gospel music, attending "Tuba Christmas" with his family, working in his yard, and collecting model trains.

Bob was gifted musically and enjoyed singing in church choirs, men's gospel quartets, and playing the piano and organ at church.

Bob received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was ten years old. Bob faithfully read his Bible. A verse he loved is: Philippians 1:21, "For me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Bob faithfully attended church, and served his Lord with his gifts and talents. His family is comforted with the knowledge that Bob is now with his Lord and Savior.

Bob is preceded in death by his mother Violet, in 1973, his father Robert, in 1995, and his wife of 57 years, Connie, in 2018.

He is survived by his son Robert Pattison, daughter Rachel Montgomery (Matthew) daughter Kelli Olsen, son Richard Pattison (Kristin), grandchildren, Jacob and Jessie Olsen; Joel, Joshua, and Hannah Montgomery; and Alaina and Sasha Pattison; and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for Friday, June 9, 2023, at the Christian Care Center, in Mesquite, Texas.
