Our beloved Mother and family Matriaich , Mildred Thompson Scoggins passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on January 29th at the age of 89.
She was excited about celebrating her 90th birthday on January 31st but God had other plans.
She was born on January 31, 1933 in Rockwall, Texas where she and her brothers were raised by their grandmother Dora Jane Fondren.
She graduated from Rockwall High School in May, 1950.
She married our Dad Don H. Scoggins on January 14, 1950 at First Methodist Church in Arlington, Texas. They were blessed with 53 wonderful years together before his passing in 2003.

In her younger years, she dressed in the latest fashion and you never knew what color her hair was going to be from week to week.
She was a dedicated Texas Longhorn fan, enjoyed reading, the beach, trips with her family, shopping and visiting the border. She connected with everyone on Facebook and was a loving Mamaw to her grand and great grandchildren.
She was of the Methodist faith and believed in Jesus.
