Linda Kay Austin

Linda Austin passed away at home on August 12, 2022. In Forney Texas. Surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born on September 16; 1941 in New London Iowa to Lyndon and Mary Nelson. Linda married Gary Austin on June 28, 1964 in Burlington Iowa. She had three children David Austin, Brad Austin, and Shelly Garcia.

Linda moved to Texas in 1982 she worked as a day care worker. she loved her family and having dinners. She liked to bake pies. She enjoyed being at home watching tv and watching her grand kids.

Linda is survived by her husband Gary Austin of Forney. Son Brad Austin and Daughter Shelly Garcia Son in law Emilio Garcia of Forney Texas . She had four grand children Michael Garcia, Jayden Garcia Jacob Garcia, Austin Garcia. Sister in law Patricia Gatlin of Sunnyvale Texas . She had several nieces and nephews she loved very much.

Preceded her in death her parents Lyndon and Mary Nelson. Son David Austin, Brothers Larry Nelson, Michael Nelson and Jerry Nelson, Grandson Garrett Garcia.

A celebration of Linda's Life will be at New Hope funeral home on August 23, 2022. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM. Funeral will follow at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:15.
