On April 16, 2021, Karen Denise Seaton, loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 51 in Wichita Falls, TX.
Karen was born in Dallas, Texas on October 12, 1969 to Harold and Elaine Smith. She was a 1988 graduate of West Mesquite High School. She lived most of her life in Mesquite, Texas until she retired and moved to Vernon, Texas. On January 14, 1995, she married Paul Seaton. They raised three sons, Blake Alan Seaton, Curtis Andrew Seaton and Jeremy Austin Seaton.
Before she retired to Vernon, Karen worked in accounts receivable and payable. She loved being a sports mom and watching her boys grow up playing sports from pee wee thru college. In retirement, she loved sitting on the back porch with her much loved dogs, Pooch, Popper and Carly. She was even happier when her boys would bring her “grand dogs,” Tex, Howdy, Whiskey, Abby, Millie, Daisy, Hagen and Ira.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Elaine Smith. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Paul, their children, Blake (Demi) Seaton, Curtis (Alyssa Hipps) Seaton, Jeremy (Brittney Rosa) Seaton and stepson Michael (Melissa) Seaton. Her sisters, Susan (Mark) Crockett, Nancy Walker and brother Isaac (Desieray) Brown. Four grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of dear family and friends.
