Jonathan Paul Jackson, 53, went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2022 in Forney, Texas. He was born on January 16, 1969 in Garland, Texas to Charles Ray and Bobbie Jean Jackson (Ridenhour). He graduated from Van High School in 1987.
Jonathan and his wife Cara were married March 13, 2004 and have 3 beautiful children Cylie, Carter, and Chaney. Jonathan loved his family fiercely and with a passion like none other, and his wife and children were his world. Whether they were traveling to the beach or a cabin in the woods, attending volleyball games, watching archery and other events for the children, watching movies, enjoying a competitive game night, or eating out, Jonathan valued time with his family above all else. The time spent with his family was always treasured.
When not spending quality time with his family, Jonathan could be found working with his hands or studying history. Being a carpenter by trade, he enjoyed woodworking and remodeling and built many structures and furniture pieces that his family will continue to cherish. Studying World War II in honor of his father's service in the Army is further testament to his love and dedication to his family.
Jonathan is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bobbie Jackson, and his brother, David Jackson.
He is survived by wife Cara (Swann) Jackson, children Cylie Jackson, Carter Jackson, and Chaney Jackson, his sisters Charlene Taylor, Doris Raley, and Jane Ann Smallwood, his parents-in-law Brad and Cathy Swann, his brothers-in-law Jeff Taylor, Doug Raley, Jason Swann, and David Crockett, his sisters-in-law Kendra Crockett, and Christie Swann along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
