Glenda Bowers

Glenda Whitten Bowers, 78, of Mesquite Tx, passed away July 20, 2022 with her family by her side.

She was born to parents Hubert and Virginia Whitten on December 24th, 1943 in Corsicana Tx. She graduated from Corsicana High School where she met and married her high school sweetheart.

She is survived by her beloved husband Darrell with whom she recently celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary, a milestone she was extremely proud of. She is also survived by her daughters Shannon Ashley of Mesquite Tx, Kim Ferrell and her husband Lance of Louisville Ky, and her pride and joy, her granddaughter Amanda Cannon and her husband Justin of Combine Tx.

Glenda worked in the Insurance field until her retirement. She made many lifelong friends through the years.

Her favorite things were spending time with her family, traveling, and enjoying a good bottle of wine.

Glenda will be privately interred at DFW National Cemetery.
