Emilio Salinas Jr. passed away from his earthly body to be with Jesus on Wednesday, March 9. He loved Jesus and people especially his family. Everyone could always count on him. He was born on June 17, 1951 in Mathis, Texas to Emilio and Sanjuana (Morales) Salinas. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Roberto and Osvaldo and a sister Sulema Salinas.
He is survived by his wife, Janet, a son Gabriel (Lenora) Salinas and a daughter Mirella Salinas, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren all from the Dallas area. He is also survived by his siblings Rosa (Santos) Arredondo from San Saba, Texas; Liodolee (Arnulfo) Garcia from Harker Heights, Texas; Noelia (Troy) Buck from Corpus Christi, Texas and Max (Frances) Morales from Mathis Texas; also his sisters-in-law: Carol Wallace and Joyce Sline from the Dallas area and Arlyn Salinas from New Braunfels, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
Emilio was employed and retired as a welder for the City of Dallas. He was an active member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church. He served in the music ministry. He played the drums and guitar and sang with his wife Janet.
