Betty Lou Gibson was born to Dale Dunn Patterson in Corsicana, Texas, on July 16, 1940. She passed away on August 26, 2022, surrounded by her beloved children, sister, and niece. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dale Patterson; sister, Carol Ann Simon; Mother-in-law, Lethel Gibson; Brother-in-law, Johnny Tinsley; and her beloved husband, her forever love, David Wayne Gibson, Sr. She is survived by her children, Diane Barcheers and husband, Leland; Wayne Gibson and wife Pat; and Sandy Partain and husband, JImmy. Also survived by her grandchildren, Justin, Nathan, Nicholas, and Kaylea Partain; sister, Jimmye Tinsley; nieces and nephew, Susan Hemmenway, Rhonda Byrd and husband, Jim; Michael Tinsley and wife, Christine; and Alicia Empson and husband, Mike; and many great nieces and nephews. The pall bearers for the service are Justin Partain, Nathan Partain, Nicholas Partain, Michael Tinsley, James Burt and Jim Byrd.

She loved camping, traveling, shopping and having lunch with her girls. She loved going and spending her Summers down in Baytown with her sister, Jimmye. The two were known lovingly by all the kids as the "crazy sisters".

She truly loved her sister, nieces, and nephews but most importantly she loved her children and grandchildren, and would do anything and everything for them.

She was a member of Sunnyvale Baptist Church and adored her Sunday School Class.
