Zachary Gonzales

Zachary Michael Gonzales, born on May 23, 2003, in Dallas, Texas, went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2025, at the tender age of 21. Throughout his life, Zachary exemplified the essence of love and compassion, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply remembered as a wonderful, loving, and devoted son, brother, friend, and mentor, whose dedication and loyalty to his loved ones were unparalleled. Despite facing numerous challenges, Zachary's strength and resilience shone brightly as he demonstrated an unwavering commitment to conquering any goal set before him.

Zachary's passion for football began at the age of five and continued throughout his time at Mesquite High School, where he graduated in 2021. His dedication to the sport earned him numerous trophies, certificates, and medals, celebrating his many accomplishments. He cherished the tranquility of the outdoors, often taking wilderness trips, fishing, and enjoying time spent in nature with family, where he found both solitude and connection. Additionally, his love for basketball nurtured cherished bonds with his cousins and friends, filling their lives with joy and laughter.

Known for his kind heart and sense of humor, Zachary was a protector of his family and friends.Always willing to lend a hand to those in need. His hard work and ambition were driven by high hopes for his family's future. As a donor, Zachary's legacy continues, as his spirit lives on in those whose lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Sherrie Lynn Rogers, aunt Teresa Jo Parker, grandfather Elza Noah Hensley, and grandmother Charlotte Ann Kruger among others.

Zachary is survived by his mother, Ashley Ann Hensley; his father, Michael H. Gonzales; his siblings: Savanna Mariah Gonzales, Emily Jimenez, Ashley Marie Gonzales, and Michael H. Gonzales Jr.; as well as his loving aunt Annette Whitener and many cherished cousins. Funeral services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel on February 25, 2025, with visitation commencing at 9:00 AM, followed by the service at 10:00 AM. Following the service, Zachary will be laid to rest at 11:00 AM at New Hope Memorial Gardens. His legacy of kindness and humor will continue to bloom in the memories of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
