Yvonne Lawyer

Yvonne Provencio Lawyer, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, joyfully entered heaven on February 25, 2025. She passed away with family at her bedside, after her dear friend Marget Stokes sang her favorite hymns. Yvonne, most known by her nickname Bonnie, was born June 20, 1937, in El Paso, Texas. She was married to Albert Lawyer for 51 years before his death in 2010. She resided in Mesquite, Texas, where she continued to be a pillar of strength and was always in prayer for her loved ones.

Yvonne found joy in wandering the aisles of Marshalls looking for a great deal, babysitting and spending quality time with her grandchildren, fostering lasting memories that her family will cherish forever. "GramBonnie", as she was known to her grandchildren, was indeed the gravitational force that brought her family together, providing a warm and inviting home filled with laughter and love.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Edwards, and Michelle Young and husband Russell; her grandchildren, Amanda Tipton and husband Jonathan, Allison Hobgood and husband Jason, Alexander Young and wife Madelyn, Keaton Young, Paige Young; great-granddaughters, Maggie McGee and Michelle Tipton; great-grandsons, Michael Tipton and Brandon Hobgood and partner Priscilla; her sisters, Ellie Knight and husband Cloyd, and Linda Provencio-Hooper, as well as many other family members and friends. Her spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of her family, leaving behind a legacy of love and togetherness.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Provencio and Paulina Provencio; her brothers, Manny Provencio and Johnny Provencio; her husband, Albert Lawyer; and son, Keith Lawyer.

A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 10:00 am at Lake Ridge Bible Church in Mesquite, Texas with burial following at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bonnie's remarkable life and the indelible mark she left on each of their hearts.
