Wilma D. Clary

July 1, 1930 — January 12, 2012

Get To Know Doris Clary Wilma Doris Heflin was born the youngest of 5 kids on July 1, 1930 to loving and Christian parents, Thomas and Sally Heflin. Born and raised in small communities near Paris, Texas, her Daddy was a hard working cotton farmer. So of course she picked her share of cotton too. After High School she worked for the phone company as an operator and was picked as a SW Bell Bell Sweetheart and worked switchboard displays at such places as the State Fair of Texas. She later married James Swann and had four kids, Cindy, Tim, Ben and Elaine. Her life then became her family, always looking to God for guidance. Her marriage ended after 17 years and she worked as a PBX operator to support her family. Life wasnt always easy during the next ten years but she always kept a positive and Christian attitude. She found much appreciation for life and loved and enjoyed her kids more than anything. Doris met and married Lester Clary in 1983 and they have enjoyed many laughs and good times throughout their marriage. Doris was diagnosed with early stages of Alzheimers in 1995 and Lester has since remained by her side as much as possible. Doris hobbies before her disease worsened were her morning devotions, walking, exercising, eating healthy, reading, flower arranging, sewing and other crafts. She lived for moments when all her kids were together with her. She loves to laugh, shares a very close relationship with God, blessed with the gift of incredible faith, she loves people and has the ability to see the good attributes in anyone, never judging or condemning. As her family, we know that she is a true child of God and will be blessed. CLARY, Wilma D. of Mesquite, born July 1, 1930 passed away January 12, 2012.
