It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Larry Wood, a beloved husband, cherished friend, and respected member of the Mesquite community. Born on June 29, 1948, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, Larry touched the lives of all who knew him with his kind spirit and unwavering dedication to his family.
Larry will be remembered for his warm smile, his unwavering support, and the love he provided to his wife, Luanna Wood. Together, they built a life filled with laughter and cherished memories. Larry's love and devotion to Luanna were evident in everything he did, a testament to the deep bond they shared.
Having graduated from high school, Larry went on to pursue a fulfilling career, from which he retired. Throughout his life, he demonstrated a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence, traits that inspired those around him.
Larry passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
Funeral services will be held in his honor, on Thursday, Feb 6 at 11:00 am. where family and friends will gather to pay their respects and celebrate his life. Following the service, Larry will be laid to rest at 2:00 pm at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX.
In this time of grief, let us remember Larry for the joy he brought into our lives and the love he so freely shared. Rest in peace, dear Larry; you will be profoundly missed.
