William Hughes

Hughes, William R. born March 3, 1923 in Dallas, TX past away October 6, 2007. Parents Horace C. & Ruth Hughes, he grew up in Mt. Auburn addition and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. Survived by wife, Betty J. Hughes of 63 years and sons Wm. David Hughes, Dale (Randy) Hughes and Gary Hughes.Grandchildren Dee Ann and husband Jeff Blackwell, M.D., Heather Beth Hughes adn Landon T. Hughes.Great-grandson Maxon Dean Blackwell. William joined the Army Air Corps November 1, 1942, served in World War II and the Korean War.Retired from Heat & Frost Insulator Local #21.He was a member for 50 years of R.C. Buckner No. 1176, also a member of East Ridge Park Christian Church. Visitation will be held at New Hope Funeral, Monday, October 8th from 6PM - 8PM.Service at East Ridge Park Christian Church, Mesquite, TX on Tuesday, October 9th at 11:00AM.Rev. Dan Carrol officiating.Interment at Restland Memorial Park.
