William "Bill" Horan

William A Horan, III, ("Bill") of Mesquite, Texas, passed away on August 27, 2024 at the age of 71. He was born on December 20, 1952, in Greenville, Texas to parents William A Horan, Jr and Mary Crabb Horan. His siblings included sisters, Mary Sue and Barbara, and brother, James.

In 1980, Bill married Deborah Miller, and they were blessed to share 44 years of marriage together.

Bill is survived by his wife, Deborah; his sisters, Mary Sue Horan and Barbara Horan; many cousins; his mother-in-law, Eva Nell Miller; his brother-in-law, Billy J Miller and his wife, Keitha; their children, Jason Miller and his wife Andrea and their children and grandchildren; and by Christine Hinrichsen and her husband Darren, and their children and grandchildren.

Bill was very involved in the Bible Memory Association for many years. He enjoyed being in the high school band and singing in church choirs. He was involved in the Baptist Student Union in college as the leader of the Prayer Committee, where he and Deborah met. He loved serving at the Annuity Board of the SBC / GuideStone as a Programmer and Data Base Administrator. And, he served many years in church ministry, serving as a choir member, deacon, and teaching a variety of age groups over the years.

Bill was a devoted husband with a servant's heart. His trust was in Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord.

Funeral Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 with a Visitation at 1:00 pm and the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm.
