Walter Maurice Clifton

Walter Clifton, age 71, passed away on April 14, 2022.

Walter was born in Dallas, TX to Walter Clifton Sr. and Wanda Cook Quirl. He entered the army after high school and served in Vietnam. He started his career as a Police Officer for Dallas Police Department in 1977 and served for 32 years. Walter married Robin Clifton of Sunnyvale, Texas on December 23, 1971 in Dallas, Texas. Walter was best known for his service to his city, helping others and his love of all animals.

Walter is survived by his wife Robin Clifton of Sunnyvale, his mother Wanda Quirl of Dallas, his son Walter (Tricia) Clifton III of Wylie, his son Reagan Cody of Sunnyvale, his grandchildren Asher and Brinley, his brothers Gaylon Clifton of Farmersbranch and Nathan (Melissa) Quirl of Rockwall.

He was preceded in death by Walter Clifton Sr. (Father), Tim Clifton (Brother), and Kason Clifton (Grandson).

Public Viewing will be held Wednesday, 4th of May, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas.

Services for Walter Clifton will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at 1:30 PM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with Pastor Sean Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 1:30 PM in Dallas, Texas.
