Virginia Delois Parry was born on April 29, 1933 in Kaufman, Texas to Travis and Sadie Prater.She was received into Heaven the morning of Thursday, April 30, 2015. Virginia was raised in rural Kaufman and resided in Mesquite for 50 years, and has spent the last two years of her life in Richardson. She was an LVN at Timberlawn Psychiatric Hospital.She had an enormous heart and a huge love for children and was a foster parent for years.Family meant everything to her and cooking for them gave her so much joy, she was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and aunt.She was a devout Christian and a member of the Assemblies of God Church.One of her passions was acquiring beautiful jewelry and collecting vintage glass and china.Her smile could light up a room and everyone will miss that beautiful face. Virginia was preceded in death by both parents, husband Thomas Parry, two sisters, a brother, and her precious son Roger Dale Parry, a great-grandson, and several dear friends. She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Lynch, Debbie Caldwell both of Richardson, Cathy and husband Frank Arce of Crandall, and son Chuck Hardee of Garland.Grandchildren Callie and husband Russell Sims of Sunnyvale, Valerie and husband James Wheeler of Plano, Josh and wife Jennifer Parry, and Natalie Parry both of Garland, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.Brothers Gary and wife Martha Prater of Terrell, James and wife Liz Prater of Midlothian, and sister Diane Dickerson of Richardson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
