Viola Bench

BENCH, Viola S. of Rowlett, born May 18, 1913, in Rockwall Co., passed away January 17, 2005 in Rockwall Co. Born one of six children, Viola was preceded in death by her husband, J. T. Bench, son, Richard Earl Lewis; two brothers, Denzil & Vernon Stanfield; also her sister, Irene Duckworth. She is survived by her son, Roy Lee Lewis & wife, Bonnie; daughter, Pearl Williams & husband Willard; daughter, Shirley Stovall; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.Viola is also survived by 2 wonderful sisters, Dorothy Compton & Faye Potter. Viola was such a loving person.She always saw the best in everyone.Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren, and cherished every moment with them, never thinking of herself, always of them. Services will be 11:00AM Friday, January 21, 2005, at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Johnny Whittiker, officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:30PM - 7:30PM.
