Victoria "Vickey" Jean Strawn, a loving mother, devoted wife & dedicated grandmother, passed away on July 6, 2023, at the age of 70 in Dallas, TX.

Vickey, the eldest of seven children was born on December 24, 1952 in Dallas, TX, to Grandon and Dorothy Mitchell. Vickey lived an amazing life full of family & friends who loved her.

Vickey married Charles Strawn on September 19, 1980 in Dallas, Tx. She had 2 children, Monica Spoerl, of Terrell, TX, Brannon McMillan of Quinlan, TX and 2 step-children Sand & Jason Strawn.

Vickey was best known for her love of family. She spent her life caring for those around her. Her favorite title was "Genny". She was a Genny to all who met her, old or young. She was most proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Vickey is survived by her daughter Monica Spoerl and her husband Justin, her son Brannon McMillan and his wife Laci. The grandchildren that held a special place in her heart: Lyndsi Bennett and her husband Wes, Lacey Boone and her husband Dustin, Trevor Strawn, Lane Martin, Tanner McMillan, Madison McMillan & Clayton McMillan. Her pride and joy, her great grandchildren: Braxton Bennett, Landree Bennett, Scout Boone and Summer Boone.

Vickey will forever be remembered by her siblings Grandon "Bud" Mitchell and his wife Pat, Sharon Harris and her husband David, Kenneth Mitchell and his wife Debbie, Steve Mitchell, Traci Marler and her husband Barry as well as numerous nieces & nephews.

Vickey is preceded in death by her husband Charles Strawn, her parents Grandon & Dorothy Mitchell and her sister Kathy Martin.

A visitation to celebrate Vickey's life will be held on July 14, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, TX. Vickey will be laid to rest with her husband at DFW National Cemetery during a private burial service.
