Venna Lee Bullard

BULLARD, Venna Lee.Our precious mother went to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday, June 23, 2007. She was born May 7, 1917 to Alec & Annie Icenhower in DeKalb, TX. She married Taylor Bullard on December 16, 1933. She lived an exemplary life as one who loved the Lord with all her heart.A devoted wife and mother, she had a passion for people and wanted everyone to know Jesus.She was a faithful member of Northridge Baptist Church (now Galloway Avenue Baptist) and attended Dallas Bible College. She owned and operated Venna's Beauty Salon in Dallas, retiring at the age of 76.Working in the yard, attending church and spending time with her family were her favorite things to do after retiring. Preceded in death by her parents, Alec & Annie Icenhower; her husband of 49 years, Taylor Bullard; one grandchild, Jon Paul Doverspike; sister, Glyn Bullard; brothers, Nolan, J.D. James and Joe Ed Icenhower. Survived by children, Vaughn Bullard & wife, Linda of Lake Cypress Springs, Pat Shaw & husband, Roger of Mesquite, Betty Burris & husband, Nolon of Mesquite, Jim Bullard & wife, Pat of Mesquite, Joe Bullard & wife, Holly of Lucas, Denise Walker & husband, Mike of Forney; brother, Harry Icenhower & wife, Rheba of Commerce, Ann Sturdivant & husband, James of DeKalb; sisters-in-law, Janis Icenhower Baldwin of Kemp, Della Icenhower of Mansfield & Mary Icenhower of Houston; grandchildren, John Bullard & wife, Jodi, Jennifer Bullard, Kim Shaw, Chris Shaw & wife, Nicole, Melanie Doverspike, Kemp Burris, Kelly Bullard, Kristy Mothersbaugh & husband, Jason, Jeff Bullard, Audra Bullard Taylor Bullard, Caroline Bullard, Whitney Walker & Heath Walker; great grandchildren, Collin & Brandon Bullard, Kendall Shaw, Christian Castaneda, Juliana & Evan Mothersbaugh, Alexandra Doverspike, Samuel Burris; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephew, Don Sturdivant. Service will be 10:00AM Tuesday June 26, 2007 at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel.
