Van Allan Simmons

Van Allan Simmons was born to Allan and Martha Simmons January 16, 1966 in Flint, Michigan. He passed away on July 25, 2009. After graduating Clio High School Van enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Abilene, Texas where he met his wife Laura. Soon after they were married they were relocated to Yokata AB in Japan where their two sons, Jesse and Lee, were born. Van served three tours of duty including a tour in Desert Storm. After completing his duties fo the Air Force, he moved to Mesquite Texas with his family where he worked as a corrections officer for the Federal Corrections Institution for 14 years. He was preceded in death by Aunt Louise, Grandma Leta and Grandpa Howard Simmons. He is survived by his wife Laura Simmons; sons, Jesse Simmons and Lee Simmons; parents, Allan and Martha Simmons; sister, Danita and Mark Roberts; Aunt Willie and Uncle Bob Hager; cousin, Jerrie Lynn and husband Mike Sylvanic and many other loving family and friends. To my Husband, Your were the hero in my Romance, my best friend, my lobster and my bear. I will always love you. Laura
