Val Jean Blair

Val Jean Blair, 86, passed away on July 11, 2022, in Dennis, Mississippi.

Val Jean Blair was born on January 19, 1936 in Davilla, TX, to William Carlow and Mabel Carlow. She graduated valedictorian from Powderly High School in 1954.

Val Jean married Roy Blair in April 2, 1955, in Paris Texas. The couple had 4 children, Preston Wade (Melissa) Blair, Mark Blair, Shanda (Jerry) George, Roy Britt (Cynthia) Blair.

Val Jean was best known for her sewing, baking, hosting family and friends, and serving in the children's ministry of her church for over 30 years. She considered her talents and abilities to be her ministry, and she used them faithfully to honor her Savior, help many people, and build life long relationships.

Val Jean is survived by Kenneth (Linda) Carlow - brother, Preston Wade (Melissa) Blair - son, Shanda (Jerry) George - daughter, Roy Britt (Cynthia) Blair - son, Valerie (Joshua) Westmoreland - grandaughter, J. Blaine (Whitney) Martin - grandson, Jared (Elizabeth) Blair - grandson, Ryan (Rachel) Blair - grandson, Henry Blair - grandson, Mack Blair - grandson, Catherine Blair - granddaughter, Max Daniel Westmoreland - great-grandson, and Heidi Blair Westmoreland - great-granddaughter.

Val Jean is preceded in death by William Carlow - father, Mabel Carlow - mother, Roy Blair - spouse, William Charles (Fonda) Carlow - brother, Douglas Carlow - brother, and Mark Blair - son.

The service for Mrs. Val Jean Blair will be held on Saturday, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Meadowview.

Visitation: Saturday, 9:00 - 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Meadowview.

Burial: Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Seagoville, TX.
