Tona Reynolds

Tona Jo McCaffrey Reynolds, aka "Nona", was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 17, 1951 to parents Joseph Patrick Michael McCaffrey and Thelma Jean Mayo. She passed away on September 22, 2023, at 72, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Tona was embraced by so much love during her last days on earth. Her family will remember and continue to carry on the legacy she created.

Tona's pride and joy were her family and friends. Her passion was people, which suited her career at Southwest Airlines where she served as a flight attendant for 26 years. She naturally attracted people with her vibrant smile and welcoming persona. Everywhere she went a connection was made through her vivacious personality. If you met her, she was simply unforgettable.

One of Tona's pastimes was movies. She loved a bowl of chocolate ice cream and turning on a good movie. Music was another outlet for her. She enjoyed musicals, plays, and live music. Overall, she loved the Arts! Nona was also a big fan of the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. On any given Sunday, you could find her in front of the TV watching the boys! Finally, she had a big love for animals, especially dogs. Animals were considered family to her.

Tona's faith was strong. She did not shy away from telling everyone the good news of Jesus, and her family has been put at ease knowing she has gone to see her Heavenly Father.

Tona is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Patrick Michael McCaffrey, and mother, Thelma Jean Mayo.

Tona is survived by her husband, Cannon Gentry; her brother, Tony McCaffrey and wife Mary; daughter, Tia Leos and husband Juan; her grandchildren, Taylor Guzman and husband Garrett; Ty Locke and wife Jennifer, Larry Locke and wife Ashley, Tori Heuber and husband Justin, and Gabby Leos; great-grandchildren, Aubree, Graysen, Zayn, Nova, Luka, Emma, Lily Jo, Riley Jo, Everly, and Nora.

Tona had many friendships, also considered as family, that she held dear to her heart throughout the years. She will be missed by many.
