Tommy Everett

Today we celebrate the life of Tommy Bowman Everett. Tommy was born on March 21, 1936 in Athens, Texas. He went to be with Jesus peacefully in the early morning hours on Jan 18, 2024.

Tommy was the son of Thomas Lafayette Everett and Blanche Bowman Everett. His father passed before he was born of pneumonia; was then raised by LC (Papaw) Pickle.

Met Ruth Everett in 1952 at Elam Baptist Church and married April 15, 1955 - married for 68 years. They had one daughter, Cyndi Johnson, who is married to Jeff Johnson. Tommy had two grandaughters Ashley Michelle Pruitt (married to Casey Pruitt)

and Mackenzie Nicole Johnson Gorman (married to Cody Gorman)

Tommy loved his great grandchildren dearly; Colton Pruitt (14), Avery Pruitt (7), River Gorman (2), and coming soon, his newest great grandson, Bowman Gorman.

Tommy had 2 brothers: Thomas Leon Everett and Charles Don Everett , who both preceded him in death.

Tommy considers the Johnson family an extension of his own.

He proudly served hiscountry in the Army, stationed in Germany during 1956-1957. He owned his own accounting business, TE and Company.

Tommy was a hard working man, whose kindness was unmatched. He loved his family. He loved his church and the community it provided him. He loved all our dogs, big and small. But most of all.. he loved Jesus and was never ashamed to share that love with everyone he met.
