Todd Kettering

June 13, 1961 — August 18, 2024

Todd Earl Kettering, age 63, of Wylie, Texas was called home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 18, 2024. Todd was born June 13, 1961 in Canton, Ohio to Earl Henry Kettering and Margaret Mae Fath. He graduated from Mesquite High School in 1979. At age 19, he was accepted into the Dallas County Sheriff Department's first class of Detention Officer training. He later became a Sheriff Deputy. He also served as a Bailiff in the Dallas County Courts during his later years. Todd served thirty years in law enforcement for Dallas County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Margaret Kettering. Todd is also predeceased by brothers-in-law Keith Radford and Thurman Radford. Todd is survived by his wife Dianna Kettering, his sister Tamara (Tammy) Kettering, Dianna's brother Walter Radford, Dianna's sisters Roberta Upshaw (Spouse James) and Effie Baker (spouse Allen), his daughter Kimberly McGee (spouse Curtis) and his son Andrew Todd Kettering (spouse KC). Todd has three grandchildren, Chloe McGee, Aiden and Annysten Kettering. Todd also welcomed Dianna's three daughters Misty, Tana and Jaymie (spouse Chris) and their seven children into his family. Todd had several aunts and uncles on both sides of our family who predeceased him. There are several surviving aunts and uncles on both sides of our family.

Dianna has many cherished memories of their rides on their Harley Davidson trike over the years. Our family has memories of Todd giving family members rides on the trike during our family reunion in 2014. It was great fun for everyone.

Todd made many life-long friends who also served as Dallas County Sheriff Deputies. Many of his friends also rode motorcycles. They all enjoyed making trips together over the years. While Todd was in and out of the hospital, those same friends would visit with him. Todd, Dianna and Tammy appreciated those visits very much.
