Timothy Wayne Smith was born December 5, 1967 in Fort Worth, Tx to Turner &Julia Smith.
Throughout his life he lived in several different places including Iran as well as Springfield, Missouri. He went to high school in Mesquite and graduated from Mesquite High School.
Tim very much wanted to be a Marine and tried to enlist. It was after passing all the test except for the Medical exam that he discovered that he had Kidney disease and was unable to enlist. But he still had the heart of a warrior. He considered himself a Marine his entire life, Tim was a son, a husband, a father, a brother, a cousin, an uncle, a grandfather, and a nephew. He wore many hats but he would tell you above all this he was a Child of God.
Tim gave his heart to Jesus at an early age and would work doing whatever the Lord led him to do. He taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, sang solos and even conducted some Christmas programs.
For about 7 years he was in charge of the monthly gospel show at his church. He would arrange for local groups to come and sing and it was always a blessing. He shared this with his best friend and "brother" Samuel Bushnell.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents Turner & Julia Smith; the love of his life Becky Smith, their blended family -sons Brian (wife Kell) and Brandon Smith, Larry Ballard (wife Katie) and daughter Kasie Brown (husband Chris)., his grandchildren Eden & Adam, his sister Karen (Kyle), his nephews Austin & Justin, numerous great nephews & nieces, his beloved cousins, and his aunts Patricia (Troy) and Ruth.
Tim truly had a heart as big as Texas.
A special thank you to the medical staff at Home Care Network, especially Retha. Fresenius Dialysis in Terrell, the volunteers with Able Springs EMTs.
