Thomas Ralph Denton

Thomas Ralph Denton was born 9-28-1934 in Paris, TX. Tommy passed away peacefully at home, his family at his bedside on June 30, 2010. His parents, George Nolan and Ruth Spikes Denton, son Tom, Jr., sister Mary Denton, brother George preceded him in death. Survived by wife Evelyn of Forney, TX; son, David Denton; daughter, Karla Jones and her husband Russell, step-daughters Brenda Cox and husband Jackie, Elizabeth Ann Miles and husband Dale all of Mesquite, TX; grandchildren, Keith Clayton, Kortney Jones, Travis Jones, Ashley Cox, Jacqueline Cox, Rachel Rochester, Kaci Rochester; great granddaughters, Maleah Cox, Lexi Cox; and sisters Betty Jane Barrett and Ara Kay Geurin. Tommy was a PER of Mesquite Elks Lodge #2404, had served as District Deputy for the NE District. He was a 50 year member of Masonic Lodge 1200, Dallas, TX. Tommy was very competent and accomplished in most of lives challenges, however, retirement was an extremely difficult decision for him as he enjoyed his job at Romco Equipment and serving the many customers that had become dear friends over the years. Serving on committees for AGC and Texas Hot Mix gave him much pleasure. This husband, father and friend to many will live forever in our hearts. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 11:00a.m. at New Hope Funeral Home, Sunnyvale, TX. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Texas Elks Children Services or American Cancer Society.
