Susan Corbit Phillips

Phillips, Susan C. “Suze”-October 20, 1945 – March 27, 2015 Mesquite, TX: After a month long battle, Susan died on March 27, 2015 at age 69. She was predeceased by her parents, Alton and Luella Corbit.She is survived by her husband of 10 years, David B Phillips; brothers, David Corbit of Goffstown, NH and Donald Corbit of San Antonio, TX; sister, Carol Forney of Portage, MI; children, Gail Herendeen of Los Angeles, CA, Jenifer Sanders,Benjamin Herendeen, Grady Herendeen, and Mischa Herendeen, all of Rochester, NY; 19 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews and many life long friends. Susan’s working career spanned nearly 40 years including elementary school teaching, managing Job Corps programs, and managing after school programs for at risk children.She left New York State in late 2003 to join her “soon to be” husband in Texas. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, 04/10/15, 1:30 pm at the Lake Ridge Bible Church, 1020 Northwest Drive, Mesquite, TX. A mid-summer Memorial Service to be held in Victor, NY is in the early planning stages.In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association.
