Stuart Addison Rhodes

Stuart Addison Rhodes was born on August 16, 1987 in Grand Prairie, Texas to Jeffery & Cynthia Rhodes. He persevered through his trials in his three year battle against Leukemia, and after finishing his course went home to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on September 7, 2010, at the age of 23, after surely displaying the fruits of a stalwart saint of the Lord God. He is survived by his parents; his brother, Collin; his sister, Bailey; his paternal grandfather, Gene Rhodes; his maternal grandparents Gene and Bernice Shindoll; his brothers and sisters of Reformed Orthodox Covenant; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Stuart was full of mirth and wit every day of his life. Upon diagnosis with Leukemia three years ago, Stuart was confronted with the stark reality of his own death, and by Gods grace fell before Jesus Christ as his only hope for forgiveness and salvation. The Lords saving work was made manifest to all that encountered Stuart, and we have been blessed with his contributions as a singer/songwriter in accord. Stuart demonstrated himself to be a caring and selfless friend, and always brought a smile to your face, no matter what he was facing. For the past three years, Stuarts trust in his Savior has been very evident, and as a result we rejoice that he has gone home to be with the Lord in everlasting glory. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Bishop, Dr. Claude Sportes, Dr. Steven Parletic, and all the doctors of the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland that cared for Stuart; and in addition Heather Arcuri and all the nurses and staff on 3NE. They would also like to thank Dr. Houston Holmes III and the doctors, nurses, and staff at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas. We cannot sufficiently express our gratitude for everything that you all have done to help Stuart and our family, and we sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Memorial service will be at 1:00PM Saturday September 18, 2010 at New Hope Funeral Home of Sunnyvale, 500 East Highway 80, Sunnyvale, Texas, 75182.
