Steven Osgood

Steven Lee Osgood, age 84, passed away on July 18, 2024 in Sunnyvale, Texas. He was born on January 2, 1940 in Iowa Falls, Iowa, to parents Willard Sumner Osgood and Wilnetta "Billie" Louise Snyder.

On August 18, 1962, Steven married his beloved, Frances Ruth Cooley, in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He was a Baptist and also a veteran of the United States Army and was stationed in Ft. Polk, Louisiana.

Steven worked in office management with Southern Flow Gas Measurement Company, and the Brown and Root Company. From 2003 to 2006, he worked for Haliburton as a Human Resource manager, spending 2 months in Kuwait and 3 years in Bagdad, Iraq in which he served as part of the support team for the Army Reserves at the beginning of the war in Iraq.

Steven enjoyed listening to music, singing, and playing his clarinet. Some of his other interests included traveling, fishing, boating, golfing, watching old movies, watching college sports, and spending time with family and friends.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and "Billie" Osgood.

He is survived by his loving wife, Frances; children, Steven Osgood, Jr. and wife Ann (Houston, TX), Cheryl Griffin and husband Matt (Terrell, TX), Cindy Osgood (Quinlan, TX), Lori Osgood (Louisville, KY), and Jeremy Osgood (McKinney, TX); grandchildren, Johnathan Ankenbruck and wife Meagan, Jacob Griffin and wife Carly, Jennifer Klawa and husband Gabe, Lance Neeley and wife Kasei, Amanda Osgood, Kristen Polley and husband Mike, and Justin Surface; great-grandchildren, Tyler Ankenbruck, Layla Ankenbruck, Aurelio Campos, Rowan Griffin, Wren Griffin, Miles Griffin, Enzo Klawa, Hunter Neeley, Zoe Neeley, Keyton Polley, River Polley, and Victoria "Tori" Surface; and by his brothers, Willard Sumner Osgood, Jr. and wife Jan, Thomas Allan Osgood and wife Susan, and Richard Charles Osgood and wife Loretta.
