Steven R. Harmon

STEVEN RAY HARMON was born on December 12, 1959 in Olney, Illinois to Bob and Lovetta Harmon. In 1978 Steve started working at B & K Grain Elevator and graduated from Olney East Richland High School in 1979. Steve had a life changing experience in 1980 when he made Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior, being baptized in Jesus Name and receiving the Holy Ghost. Having married in 1981 his first daughter, Whitney Delane Harmon, was born on December 2, 1982. On August 18, 1984, he married Becky Sue Morgan at the New Life Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church. On June 5, 1989, he was blessed with a son, Trevor Steven Harmon. He and his family relocated to Rockford, Illinois in 1990 where their daughter, Caitlin Jo Harmon was born on February 20, 1992. Steve began working for the Wal Mart Corporation in 1992. They relocated in 1999 to Dallas, Texas and Steve transferred to Sams Club on Buckner Blvd where he served as the Internal Audit Supervisor. Steve passed from this life suddenly on January 3, 2010 and is now forever with the Lord. Steve enjoyed the outdoors, loved to grill, fish and hunt, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, faithful friend and true Christian. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lovetta Harmon and is survived by his father, Bob Harmon of Calhoun, Illinois; wife, Becky Harmon of Terrell, Texas; children, Whitney Boykin of Olney, Illinois, Trevor Steven Harmon of Terrell, Texas, Caitlin Jo Harmon of Terrell; siblings, Darlene Harmon of McClainsboro, Illinois, Stephanie Gerber of Calhoun, Illinois, Danny Harmon of Christopher, Illinois and a multitude of nieces and nephews, family and friends. He leaves behind a great legacy and will be greatly missed.. Service will be 11:00Am Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Springs Fellowship Church, 817 Holcomb Rd., Dallas, TX. 75217. Family will receive friends Wednesdayevening at the funeral home from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
