Stephen Boyd

Stephen Boyd, age 58, passed away on February 16, 2024, in Polk County, Florida.

Stephen Boyd was born on October 22, 1965 in Mexico, Audrain County, Missouri, to parents John Ray Boyd and Lynette Reese.

Stephen married Kristina (Kristy) Boyd on May 27, 1995 in Texas. The couple had 1 child, Stephen Boyd II.

Stephen served in the United States Army from April 13, 1989 until September 21, 1992. He was best known for riding his motorcycle and recounting his military experiences. He was also a member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association #23-22 Midland Chapter, #20-8 Sarasota Chapter (Florida), and the VFW Motorcycle Group #30.

Stephen is survived by his mother, Lynette Reese of Crandall, Texas; step-father, George Reese; wife, Kristina (Kristy) Boyd; son, Stephen Boyd II; brother, John Ray Boyd II and wife Marianne; sister, Cecilia Grimes and husband Kevin; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Stephen is preceded in death by his father, John Ray Boyd.

Stephen's body was escorted to the Orlando Airport by the members of the CVMA 20-8 (Sarasota chapter).

The service for Stephen Boyd will be held at 9:00 AM on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Water of Life Lutheran Church in Forney, Texas with visitation starting at 8:00 AM.

Pallbearers are Stephen Edward Boyd II, Walter "Buzz" Kniffin, Audrey "Governor" Kniffin, Donald "Hump" Gaylor, Bradley "Rawhide" Burt, Anthony "Gweedo" Galindo, Mike "Hawk" Miller and Jimmy "Wrench" Depoyster. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Midland CVMA Chapter 23-22 and Abilene CVMA Chapter 23-23.

Burial will follow at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas at 11:00 AM
