JONES, Stanley Bert of Dallas, born October 16, 1937, passed away July 4, 2011. Preceded in death by parents: Mervyn & Lucille (Mugs & Topsy) Jones; Survived by children: Karen Pritchett & husband, Cary, Greg Dutton & wife, Sheree, Doug Norvell & wife, Tina; Grandchildren: Amber, Cody & wife, Elisabeth, Chance, Brittney & husband, Rudy, Josh, Valerie & Kaylee; Great Grandchildren: Nate, Naomi, Darcie & Greyson; Other loving family & friends. Stanley grew up and lived his formative years in Alba Texas, he was a tall, strong, good looking youth with a passion for the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing. He attended and graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas, Texas. He was an avid hunter, spending many years in the wilderness with several members of his family. He enjoyed fishing, football, baseball, golf and most of all his family. If you ever met Stanley, you would know, he was a first class man. Stanley had an incredibly strong sense of wisdom and character, especially with regards to his family. He was known by many as the Dog Whisperer always training his dogs to perform tricks, and, even lately trained Shadow his Black Lab to count and solve simple math problems. Stanley was a man who has very high principles that he stuck to no matter what; he was a man that you knew you could trust and rely on. His legacy will remain among many of us and referred to a Great Man . Service will be 10:00AM - Friday July 8, 2011 at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy. 80, Sunnyvale, TX. 75182. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Alba, TX.
