Shirley Ann Feagin Payne passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus onFebruary 12, 2018 after a lengthy battle with C.O.P.D.She was 75 years old. Shirley was born on October 13, 1942 to Luther (Bood) Feagin and Edna Merriman Feagin.who preceded her in death along with her brother Thomas Ray Feagin and sister Gloria Jean Feagin Poe, brothers –in-law Jim Quinn and Gary Hoover. Shirley is survived by her special friend and companion of 28 years, Barbara Jan Scott, her son Charles (Kerry) Payne and wife Lisa, grandsons Nathan Payne(Michaela), Dylan Payne and great grand daughter Annabel.Shirley is also survived by her sisters, Marilou Quinn and Evelyn Hoover and sister-in-law Lynette Feagin,nieces Susan Seabolt (Michael), Laurie Barkham, Danna Rhodes (Alan), Anita Howard (Bob), Amanda Bert (Dan), nephews Mitch Feagin (Traci) and Stephen Hoover,in addition to numerous extended family members and friends. A graduate of the Forney High School class of 1960.Shirley had an extensive work record starting with the Texas Highway Department right after high school graduation.She also worked for Gifford Hill Concrete and finally landedher dream job with the City of Dallas, Department of Aviation at Dallas Love Field where she retired in 1996 after 27 years of service.Shirley returned to her hometown of Forney after retirement where she resided until her death. Shirley loved being outdoors and working in the yard along with being an avid fan of the Forney Jackrabbits, Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. Shirley will be remembered for her quick wit, charm, and amazing joyful memories. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Hillcrest Cemetery, Forney, Texas.
