Shirley Jean McCann born October 31, 1925 in Peoria, IL passed away on July 6, 2013 in Mesquite, TX She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years Thomas Alexander McCann; parents, Albert Carlson and Nettie Fritzinger; brother, Jack Carlson. Shirley is survived by her children, Tom & wife Mary McCann of Mesquite, TX, Linda & husband Ron Hoyle of Marquette Heights, IL, Terry Ales of Pekin, IL, Christine McCann of Lynwood, WA, Jerri Lynn & husband Tom Hyde of Washburn, IL; 13 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Joyce & husband Robert Heaton of Seattle, WA; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 12 Noon Tuesday July 9, 2013 at New Covenant Baptist Church 820 E. Hwy 352 Mesquite, TX. Family will receive friends at the church from 11:30 - 12 Noon prior to the service. Interment will be at Lutheran Cemetery of Peoria, IL with a graveside service on Saturday July 13, 2013 at 11:00AM. No visitation will be held prior to the graveside service.
