Shirley Ann Lantrip was born in Leavenworth, Kansas in 1938, and graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1956.She moved to Texas in 1963, and made a life for her three children, living in Mesquite for over fifty years.Shirley was an animal lover with many pets through the years including skunks, raccoons, rabbits, a monkey, parrot and her beloved dogs Tiny, Tinker and Skeeter. Shirley loved working with her hands, doing all kinds of needlework, painting and building wood projects in her work shop.Her most favorite pastime was being Granny.She loved to laugh and she will be missed. Preceded in death by parents, Leonard L. Cranford, Ouida Roberts Cranford, sister, Mary Lee Haas. Survived by children, Norman Edmonds, Linda Noble, Darryl Edmonds & Wife, Sharon Edmonds; grandchildren, Bill Johnson, Spencer Edmonds, Trent Edmonds; great grandchildren, Devon Johnson, Will Johnson and Kate Johnson; sisters, Peggy Oldham of Knightstown, IN, Norma Jordon & husband Ed of Sahuarita, AZ, Lenny Rae Barnes & husband Earl of Topeka, KS, Bernice Garnett of Lansing, KS; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be 10:00AM Thursday April 3, 2014 at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy. 80, Sunnyvale, TX. 75182.
