Shirley Lynn Ditmars

DITMARS, Shirley Lynn, born December 14, 1948, passed away August 18, 2010. Shirley was born in Meridian, Texas and later graduated W. W. Samuell High School in Dallas. She worked as a school bus driver for Mesquite Independent School District for 23 years, before retiring. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church before its relocation when it became Calvary First Baptist. After 40 years of marriage to Brent, Shirley continued to be a strong role model of morality and deeply rooted Christian belief. Her strength and conviction were admired by those that knew her, and her smile and quickness to laugh always commanded the room. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten. She was preceded in death by father, Joseph Rosenquist and her sister, Beverly Smith. Survived by husband, Brent Ditmars; mother, Mildred Rosenquist; son, Brady Ditmars & his wife, Willeana and their children, Alison, Kandez, Kaden, Abbey and her daughter Crystal Paisley, along with her husband, David & their son, David; and additional family and friends. Service will be 10:00AM Monday August 23, 2010 at Calvary First Baptist Church, 2850 Eastglen Blvd., Mesquite, TX. 75149. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 2:00PM " 4:00PM. Interment will be 1:45PM Monday at the DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
