Shirley Ann Bruner

June 18, 1955 — April 20, 2008

Shirley Ann Ward Bruner, born June 18, 1955 in Paris, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior April 20, 2008. She was preceded in deathby her mother Nora Ward and father-in-law Curtis Bruner. She was a faithful and loving wife to her soul mate Curt Bruner and made his life complete for nearly 25 years. She was a caring and devoted mother to their sons Sean and Christopher Bruner. Shirley is also survived by several family members from the Fort Smith, Arkansas area including her father Odell Ward; brothers Ray Ward and wife Peggy, and Mike Ward; sisters Betty Teague and husband Jimmy, Linda Wilkinson and husband Don, and Romona Buergler and husband Joe. She is also survived by mother-in-law Marion; brother-in-law David; and sister-in-law Susan. Extended family includes six nieces, twelve nephews, sixteen great nieces, six great nephews, and one great-great niece. Shirley was highly esteemed by her family and a multitude of friends, neighbors, and co-workers. She will be remembered for her amazing, courageous, and valiant battle with breast cancer. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her and has left a lasting legacy to all. She was a member of Mimosa Lane Baptist Church, 1233 North Belt Line Road, Mesquite, where a memorial service will be held 1:00PM Wednesday April 23, 2008, at the Mimosa Lane Baptist Church, 1233 N. Belt Line Rd., Mesquite, TX 75149, with associate pastor Gilbert Davis presiding. Arrangements have been provided by New Hope Funeral Home located at 500 East Hwy 80, Sunnyvale, where memorial contributions and online tributes may be made.
