Sherman (C.L.) Ingram Sherman Ingram, beloved father, brother and friend passed away in peace on Monday, March 27, 2017, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on January 21,1938 to the parents of Jamie and Lillie Mae Ingram in the Massey Lake Community of Tennessee Colony, Texas. Sherman graduated from Massey Lake High School in May 1956, and his will to serve his country followed immediately, as he joined the United States Air Force.There, he attained the rank of Airman Second Class and his military career took him many places, to include California, San Antonio, TX, Little Rock, AK, Chanute Air Base in Illinois, Guam and the Philippines.While enlisted, he served and became a master welder and fabricator. Sherman had many hobbies, however his favorite was spending time with his son and baby brother drag racing their race cars. He also enjoyed refurbishing classic trucks, and furthering his fabricator skills on various projects.A humble man, no one was a stranger to Sherman as he was always welcoming, and willing to help others when needed. Sherman is survived by his companion, special friend and soulmate, Wanda Swiney.He is the father of Harolyn Temeng (Kwaku), Sharmaine Scott (Johnny) and Cedric Ingram (Diane).He is also the grandfather of eight Erica Rhinehart, Brittani Scott-Smith (Broderick), Dylan Ingram, Jarrett Ingram, Imani Scott, Akua Temeng, Noah Ingram and Kofi Temeng. His memory continues through his three brothers, J. L. Ingram, Wiley Ingram (Robbie), Clarence Ingram (Shirley) and his sister Edwina Simon (David). He also has and loved his many nieces, nephews and extended family members. A time of gathering will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017, at New Hope Funeral Home, Sunnyvale, Texas.
