Sheila Brockway

Sheila DeAnn Brockway was born December 6, 1977 in Dallas, TX and passed away the morning of October 11, 2023 in Dallas, TX.

Sheila loved children and provided childcare services for family and friends along with working as an administrative assistant. She spent several years as the financial secretary at Pleasant Grove First Baptist Church and as an administrative assistant at the Dallas Baptist Association. Sheila was very involved in her church, was involved in the singles ministry, and had a passion for singing in the choir and on the praise team. She was also elected as secretary at her assisted living facility and led Bible study there. Even though Sheila suffered with a variety of health issues, especially during the past few years, she always kept a positive and upbeat attitude.

Sheila never married nor had children of her own but treated her nieces and nephews as hers, always referring to them as "her babies" and being so proud of every accomplishment that they achieved. Sheila will always be remembered by her love of family, her commitment to the church, and her love of the Lord.

Sheila is survived by her father, Larry Brockway; grandmother, Margie Brockway; brother, Nathan Brockway and wife Jackie; sister, Lauren Rawls and husband Devin; nephews, Jonathan, Justin and Jayden; nieces, Nadia and Elena, along with her uncles and aunts, Steve and Brenda Bates and Randy and Stacy Bates and a whole host of cousins.

Sheila is preceded in death by her mother, Vickie Jennings; grandparents, Ed and Betty Bates, and Gene Brockway.
