Sharon K. was born in February of 1944 to her parents, John Henry and Carabell Betty White Imig. She spent her childhood being raised in Nebraska and later moved to Texas at the tender age of 16. She would go on to meet the love of her life, Ralph Parker at “County Line” in Forney. Together they shared over 40 years of love and laughter, while raising 2 boys and 3 girls. She was a wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She wasn’t afraid of hard work. She spent many years serving the children of Mesquite ISD as a crossing guard where she become known as “Grandma” to the countless number of children. She enjoyed shopping at Trader’s Village and local thrift stores. She loved collecting photos and had a passion for her beautiful plants and spending time in her green house. She never passed up an opportunity to head to the baseball fields and cheer on her grandkids. Sharon had an “open door policy”, where anyone was welcome in her home, and everyone who entered became family. She had an infectious smile, a warm hug, and anyone who knew her was lucky for it. Sharon was tough as nails, and never afraid to let you know exactly what she was thinking. There was a lot of love in her life, and though she may be gone now, her legacy will continue to live on in all of us. Obituary Information: Sharon K.
