Sharon Elizabeth Matthias Helms Marvin

Sharon Elizabeth Matthias Helms Marvin age 74, of Rockwall, TX, passed away March 12, 2020. She was born February 14, 1946 in Dallas, TX to Edward Anthony Matthias and Mickey Lenora Lindsey Matthias.

She loved to dance. Early on she attended many of the U.S.O. dances and later was a dancing queen of the disco era. Elvis Presley was dear in her heart. She had a passion for online shopping, just ask any UPS driver. She loved her Facebook. Texaspraline was her screen name, which was so appropriate given her fondness for sweets, especially white chocolate and Godivas. Sharon adored her late Boston Terrier, Buster Ray. Sharon’s greatest joy above all was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her father; and sisters Kelly Williams and Cynthia Aaron.

Sharon is survived by her mother Mickey Matthias; daughter, Lea Helms; son Guy Helms and his wife Susie. She is also survived by her sister, Susan Pate and devoted cousin, Deitra Langley. Finally, surviving her are her grandchildren, Mikel Blaine Helms and his wife Alyssa, Lauren and Alyssa Helms, and Natalie and Kevin Ullrich; great-grandchildren Seth, Tim and Delilah Helms; and many nieces and nephews.
