Shannon Wall

On March 27, 2024, Shannon Leigh Wall, age 54, passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side, after a courageous, 7-year battle with breast cancer.

Shannon worked for the last twenty years in healthcare as a medical assistant. She truly loved, and was loved by all her patients and coworkers. In fact, many of her patients say Shannon had a way of making their treatments bearable - through her compassion, and the kindness she showed them.

Although she struggled with cancer, you'd rarely hear her complain. Instead, she found strength to care for her grandmother through her own final years - a true testament and one of the many ways Shannon put others' needs before her very own.

Shannon's greatest joy, undoubtedly, was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Her family and many close friends will find it hard to restructure their lives without her being part of it. She is survived by her husband, Mark Wall; sons Chase Wilbanks and Blake Meister; step-children Markus, Mason, Makenzie, and Madison; and grandchildren Adalynn, Caralyn, Kayden, Kynlie, Ainslee, Amelia, and Apollo. She was preceded in death by her mother, Cheryl Howard;step-father Russell Howard; brother Kevin Belcher; grandmother Wanda Marney; grandfather, H.W. Marney; and uncles Monty Gordon and Ricky Gordon.

Funeral Services will be held at Calvary First Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas. Visitation will be at Noon, and services will be at 1:00 p.m. Flowers may be sent to New Hope Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 500 US-80 Sunnyvale, Texas, where she will be laid to rest close to her mother and brother.
