It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sarah Francis Gober, beloved mother, cherished friend, and dedicated school nurse. Sarah left this world peacefully at the hospital in Sunnyvale, Texas, on April 1, 2025, at the age of 83. She was born on July 4, 1941, in Childersburg, Alabama, and spent her life caring for others, particularly during her esteemed career at Mesquite Independent School District, where she touched the lives of countless students and families.
Sarah's compassion and nurturing spirit were evident in her work as a school nurse. She devoted her career to ensuring the health and well-being of her students, always offering a kind word and gentle smile. Her legacy of love and care will live on in the hearts of those she served and inspired.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Kathy Cott, who carries forward her mother's spirit of kindness and dedication. Sarah will be deeply missed by all who knew her and were fortunate to call her a friend.
A memorial service to honor Sarah's life and the love she shared will be held on April 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Sunnyvale First Baptist Church. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Sarah are invited to gather and remember her beautiful soul.
In this time of remembrance, we celebrate Sarah's remarkable life and the enduring impact she has made in our community. May she rest in peace.
