Sara Jean Graham

Sara McRee Graham was born August 23, 1941, and departed life on October 29, 2011. Sara was preceded in death by parents Louie and Lois McRee. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Johnny, son Greg Graham and wife Toni of Irving Texas, son Bart Graham and wife Suzanne of Forney Texas, granddaughter Nicole Graham also of Forney, sister Sue Yarbrough of San Antonio Texas, niece Magan Yarbrough of Houston Texas, nephew Mark Yarbrough and wife Jane with children Emily and Claire of Sioux Falls South Dakota, and cousin Carolyn Benitoz and husband Mario of San Marcos Texas. She was born in Trent Texas, graduated from Abilene High School in 1959, and has lived in Mesquite for the last 45 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church for nearly 40 years. Sara loved being with family and friends, travelling with her husband, sewing, cooking, crafts, and anything else creative. She taught swimming lessons and sewing classes, sold sewing machines, and worked as an elf . Sara was known for her faith in Christ, and her involvement in her church. Her faith gave her strength in her battle with cancer, and her brave confidence in God in this trial was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She will be missed, but we know she is now in the loving care of God. Service will be 2:00PM Thursday November 3, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church of Mesquite, 1028 S. Beltline Rd., Mesquite, TX. 75149. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.
