Sandra Lynn Poole

Sandra Lynn Beasley Poole born in Alabama on February 2, 1950, passed away on Monday July 17, 2017 at the age of 67.She passed peacefully in her sleep.She is proceeded in death by her husband, Troy "Mickey" Poole , of 42 years, father,Robert W Beasley,mother, Linda B Beasley, and sister, Linda B Conway.She is survived in death by her daughter, Angela Anna Poole, and great-niece, Elizabeth Parker, along with five nieces and nephews. Sandy spent her childhood living throughout most parts of Alabama and Louisiana.After graduation in 1968, she attended nursing school which became her passion.Sandy met Mickey at a church choir practice one night, and they married a couple of years later.They moved to Houston in 1977, and just a few months later Angela Anna was born.She worked as an RN in the mother baby unit and NICU at the same hospital in Humble for over 30 years.She retired from nursing in 2013, however she continued her passion by volunteering and giving of herself whenever she could. Sandy and Mickey had attended Second Baptist Houston for many years and became very involved in different ministries there.She joined a prayer team, ladies bible study, and gave unreservedly to missions around the world.Sandy loved the Lord!She couldn't ever pass up the opportunity to stop someone anywhere she went to compliment them or tell them about His word.Her daughter asked her once why she did that, and she replied that she just hoped to make a difference in their lives.That's just how she was.She devoted her life to serving Him, and giving to others.After Mickey passed, Sandy began attending First Baptist Huffman, where they had raised their daughter.She loved teaching her Sunday School Class, and reconnecting with old friends there.After many years of waiting, Sandy sold her house in Huffman and moved to the Dallas area to live with her daughter.It had been a life-long dream for both of them.Angela will remember everyday they shared together as the best of her life. Service will be held at New Hope Funeral Home on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 2:00pm.Following the service a reception will be held at 3109 Rosemount LnHeartland, Tx 75126, for all those wishing to celebrate the life of Sandy. One of Sandy and Angela's favorite verses has always been "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Phi 4:13That has never been more true than it is now.
