On December 10, 2014, God welcomed Sandra Jeanne Klassen into heaven. Sandra was born to Howard Edward Rankin and Marjorie May Ford Rankin on October 19, 1935 in Salem, Ohio. She married William Lawerence Klassen on May 3, 1957 at St Philip Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas. She is survived by William, her sisters Anne and Linda, her children: Philip, Peter, Anna, Andrew and Martin; her grandchildren: Rozella, April, Catherine, Karlee, Elena, Emily, Charles, Andrea, Jacob, Gabriella, Seddon, Martin, and Mattis; and her great grandchildren: Karissa, Darrell Glen, Kayleigh, Aron; and Aspen. She is preceded by her son Paul with whom she has now been reunited. Sandra was committed to God and held a close relationship with the Virgin Mary. This spiritual connection was at the root of who she was and the inspiration for the kindness, love, and concern she gave so willingly to her family and friends. She loved to laugh, sing, and dance. She will be remembered as a happy, kind, gentle and loving soul by those fortunate enough to have known her. Above all things, Sandra devoted her life to being the best mom she could be. Her children never doubted that she loved them unconditionally, and they knew they were the most important thing to her. Her best days were those spent with one or more of her children, grandchildren, or great grandchildren. She enjoyed her children dressing up, putting on music and dancing. She seldom lingered on her own needs; rather she was concerned about her family’s well-being and happiness. She was often encouraging with her words: “Don't you look nice today?” We will miss her smile, her laugh, and her love for us, her family, but mostly we will miss her: our mother, grandmother and friend. We know she will remain with us in spirit and continue to watch over us. We love you. We will always love you.
