Ruby Ann Strait

Ruby Ann Adcock Strait, born into family of William Edward Adcock and Martha Alice South on October 23, 1917, Cherokee County, Community of Hope, TX. passed away May 21, 2009. At the age of 6, she moved to Troup, TX. graduated from Troup High School in 1936. Ruby was saved at the age of 11. Married Wyatt T. Strait on September 29,1937 and started teaching Sunday School at age 22 with the babies, then children, youth and in 1960, adults. Preceded in death in 1975 by husband, Wyatt. T. Strait; daughter, Martha Page " 2008, Timothy Wyatt " at birth. Survived by son, Dennis Strait of Canton, TX. and daughter, Deborah Dugger of Garland, TX.; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren. Service will be 10:00AM Saturday May 23, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Sunnyvale, 3018 N. Beltline, Sunnyvale, TX.75182. with visitation starting at 8:00AM at the church before the service. Interment will be 3:00PM Saturday at Salem Cemetery, Rusk, Texas.
