Roy Edward Holt

Roy Holt went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the age of 84.Born in Dallas on July 21, 1934.He was predeceased by his loving parents Roxie Dunn Holt and Clarence Jefferson Holt. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Jean Ann Shulze Holt. Son Roy Edward “Eddie” Holt Jr., daughters & sons in law; Linda Jean Holt Gooch (Allen Gooch), Brinda Holt Dunn (Paul Dunn) and Glinda Kay Holt Nelson (Troy Nelson). Eleven Grandchildren; Jamie Nelson Willis (Bubba), Ryan Gooch (Amanda), Cory Gooch, Kellie Nelson (Wes), Kevin Curley II (Courtney), Kathleen Curley, Conor Curley, Taylor Holt (Lauren), Trey Holt, Tyler Gooch (Dauna), Ty Holt. Six Great Grandchildren; Sadie Willis, Addison Gooch, Stella Willis, Caleb Nelson, Declan Curley and Conrad Curley. Brother, Ray Holt (Betty).Numerous nieces and nephews. Dearest and closest friend Robert Williams (Frankie). Roy leaves with a strong and established legacy.His love for his wife, family and friends never wavered.He lived a loving, devoted, honest Christian life for everyone to see.He raised children to love Jesus and they carried that love on through 4 generations.A lifelong resident of Tripp community and the town of Sunnyvale, Texas.After graduating Mesquite High School in 1951, Roy served his county in the U.S. Army. He was a founding member of Long Creek Baptist Church in Sunnyvale, Texas.Roy had one life long career in accounting in the insurance industry. .
