Rosa Mathew

Rosamma Mathew was born on May 28, 1956 in Vettikattu Thaddathil (Paippadu, Chanagancherry). She was youngest of 6 children born to the late Mathew Scariah and Sosamma Mathew.

Rosamma received her pre-degree college education from the Assumption College in Changanacherry, Kerala. She then pursued her nursing degree at Kurji Holy Family in Bihar with the encouragement of her older sisters who were also nurses. After her nursing graduation, she spent time working as a nurse in The Holy Family Hospital in Delhi, Jordan University Hospital in Jordan, and Armaco in Saudi Arabia.

Rosamma was married to E.C. Mathew (Kunjumon, Erattaplammoottil, Thiruvalla) on March 2, 1985. They immigrated to USA in 1993 and she worked as a nurse at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas for 30 years. She and her family were devoted members of St. Gregorios Orthodox Church since 1994 where she was an active member in the Martha Mariam Samajam. She enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends and was a prayer warrior for so many in need.

She is survived by her husband, E.C. Mathew; children, Renu, Reju, Christopher, Jinsy; and 5 grandchildren, Levi, Micah, Luka, Mira, and Haven.
